Download Driver Wifi Dell E6410 Install Update
This morning, I installed the windows 10 upgrade on my Dell Latitude E, and it came to a point where there was just a black screen, I've turned it off an on again at least 20 times, and I still can't get it to work; all it does is display the Dell logo, then the windows 10 logo, and then just a black screen and stays there.
Why is is this happening? I figured it out for the Latitude e! Click "Browse my computer for driver software", click "Let me pick from a list of drivers on my computer";.
This should install the drivers and make your laptop display work. You may have to disable automatic driver updates if you have trouble in the future. You can find instructions on how to do that by "Google-ing" it. Hope you find this helpful, as it took me a long time to figure it out. Thanks to all others troubleshooting this, as I would not have figured it out on my own!
Did this solve your problem? Sorry this didn't help. If you are at the black screen and cursor, then Microsoft says you may be at your boot signon screen but are unable to view the screen.
The sign on is still there. So here is their fix:. When I did this the cursor vanished. If you have been pushing on the keyboard, you may need to reboot to get to a clean log on page to perform the above log on in the dark. I updated to the latest BIOS and chipset and it is still not working. After I installed this version of drive, it is working like a charm. I even noticed that it shows two of my desktop pictures at the same time. And two start menus!!! Windows 10 is so cool. Just a suggestion, to do a firmware upgrade BIOS and chipset first before install this monitor driver shouldn't hurt. Tried lots of the other suggestions. Here is the simplest way and as a bonus you can still get windows updates. First, you'll have to plug a monitor into the VGA port.
Start your Dell Latitiude E Once it goes through start up you should see windows on the external monitor. Finish installing Windows Save it on your desktop for quick access. It will search for updates. You should now have a Dell Latitude E that receives all the windows 10 update but doesn't keep screwing up your display driver. Pray they eventually make a new supported driver I didnt get a monitor at all both laptop and external, even safe mode didnt work.
I think this has something to do with the video driver you had when you installed win I had varying results every time I tried to install and had differing drivers at least twice tried with the dell driver and the one that windows installed. I wont be bothering with win 10 at all. I have fixed this problem by installing an older video driver - rather my repair shop did it once, then Windows updated again and I lost the display again but I found the "Download" that the repair shop had installed and I just ran it again.
Note - to make the install you need to plug the laptop into an external monitor one that works with Windows 10 so you can see your command entries. It is an older version but it seems to be working on my Latitude E after the Anniversary Update.

It's the display drivers. Plug in a monitor, and you'll get display on that. I am still trying to find a driver that will work. Updating the bios did not solve the issue for me. Intel R HD Graphics on my machine. Forced it to reinstall even though it said my drivers with win 10 were newer. Then for me it froze up. Had to force power down. Restarted and all worked fine. Was going to do Java jake method but could not find file he referenced in the extracted files.
